King Arthur's Chocolate Fudge Bundt Cake

I am always in search of a delicious chocolate cake recipe. Typically, when I bake cupcakes I use a Bon Appetit chocolate cake recipe because after trying a lot of recipes I found on different websites, it was the only one that I liked. Until now.

Yesterday evening, I decided I was going to make the King Arthur's Chocolate Fudge Bundt Cake. Your wondering who King Arthur is? Well, it's the flour company, not the King from ancient times. All of the ingredients are something I typically have in the house, except the sour cream. No big deal though, I threw a container in the cart when I shopped earlier in the day knowing I would be baking this cake either that day or over the weekend. (Plus my husband likes to put sour cream in mashed potatoes... Mmmmmmmmm).

Here are some things that I really like about this cake:

1. As I mentioned, I had all of the ingredients on hand already so it was quick to whip up

2. I got to use my bundt pan. I really love my bundt pan.

3. It has a dark chocolate taste and the ganache on top is just lovely

One thing I will note is that fresh out of the oven, the chocolate taste didn't come through well, but then we had cake for breakfast the next morning (don't judge) and it was divine! The chocolate flavor was very rich. Also, since I use a convection oven, I did lower the bake temp from 350 to 325 just to ensure it wouldn't burn.

This will bake well as cupcakes or 8" rounds, in my opinion. It is a denser cake, but that's great for stacking cakes. I highly recommend that you try making this today!

Since this isn't my original recipe, I won't repost all the ingredients and directions, but here is a link to the King Arthur site where they do have a ton of yummy recipes including this one.
